Our Verdict
I recently integrated the AMD Radeon RX 760OMXT Oculink External GPU Dock into my mobile workstation to see if a portable expansion could truly keep up with modern workloads. By utilizing the Oculink interface rather than standard USB, this setup aims to minimize the bandwidth bottlenecks usually associated with external graphics.
Performance & Build Quality
The unit is constructed from durable ABS plastic, keeping the total weight under 900g, which makes it surprisingly easy to throw into a backpack. Despite its lightweight feel, the chassis is rigid and feels sturdy enough for regular transit, especially when protected by the included storage case.
Day-to-Day Experience
Setting up the dock was straightforward thanks to the dedicated Oculink cable, which provides a much more stable connection than traditional USB alone. It handles intensive graphical tasks with ease, and I found the footprint small enough to sit unobtrusively on a cluttered desk.
This is a perfect upgrade for laptop owners who need consistent, high-performance graphics on the go without sacrificing portability.
Final Thoughts
The 2026 Radeon RX 760OMXT eGPU earns a solid 5/5 rating for its seamless blend of power and convenience. Considering the $999.00 – $1,299.00 price tag, it is an incredibly accessible entry point for anyone needing a performance boost for their existing hardware.
